Solving Loneliness and Forming Friendships

Donation provided on behalf of the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme to combat loneliness and isolation.

From weekly meetups, special events, trips and holidays, charity Just Good Friends offer a variety of solutions to loneliness and social isolation in and around the Fylde Coast area.

The group believes that loneliness is a terrible epidemic across the country, one that affects everyone in their lives at some point. They state that life is about being there for one another, making new friends and enjoying each other’s company.

Figures from the 2020/21 government Wellbeing and Loneliness survey show that approximately 3 million people in the UK said they feel lonely often or always, and about 3.9 million senior citizens say the television is their main company.

Through the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme, a donation has been funded in aid of their fantastic work. The donation will ensure the organisation can continue to work closely with all its guests, funding their regular events and meetups for a while to come.

Just Good Friends provides plenty of opportunities for people to help. Either through donations or lending time, they appreciate any offers the public can provide. Visit their website for more information:
