Charitable Programme Managers

The activities of the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme are overseen by our dedicated team of charitable programme managers, all of whom are passionate about social responsibility and giving back to the community. All of our charitable programme managers possess the relevant skills and experience needed to help guide and oversee the programme’s operations.

Meet the team:

As one of the daughters of Glasdon founder Donald J Sidebottom [MBE, FCIHT], I have proudly served on the Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee since its inception in 2003. I am a former Director and Shareholder in a company in the telecommunications industry, and currently partner in a property investment business. I pride myself on being hard-working and dedicated in everything that I do. I have a keen eye for detail and will always give 100% to any challenge I take on board. My hobbies include going to the cinema and tending to my garden, as well as relaxing with a good book whilst enjoying some music. As someone who is extremely family oriented, I’m passionate about helping families and individuals who are in need. I’m honoured to be a part of the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme and look forward to this latest and significant phase in the charitable activities of the company.

I’ve worked at Glasdon for nearly 25 years, the last 10 as a Company Director. When I’m not spending time with my family and friends, you’ll find me either at home reading with some home-baked goods, or out on walks with my dog. I love exploring places I have never been to and taking on new challenges, and I share in the company’s objectives of supporting our local and wider communities. I am particularly passionate about reducing the impact of climate change. Having been a member of the Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee since 2016, I feel privileged to continue my involvement in this next phase of the organisation as the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme. I’m confident that we can make a real difference to the charities we support both locally and globally and look forward to the challenge.

I work as a Commercial Pilot and hold an Airline Transport Pilot’s licence with eleven different aircraft ratings, specialising in delivering small jets and light aircraft all over the world. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, horse-riding and exploring the British outdoors, and am a keen amateur carpenter and woodworker. My family and friends are the biggest passion in my life and having strong family values inevitably plays a part in all that I do. As the son of Glasdon Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom [MBE, FCIHT], I am excited to join the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme and help to support worthwhile organisations in their endeavours.

Having grown up around the Lake District and the mountain regions of the North West, I’ve developed a great love for the outdoors. Most of my free time is spent swimming, biking or kitesurfing and before becoming a mum, I worked as an Outdoor Pursuit’s Instructor leading all kinds of outdoor activities. I have an MA qualification in both French and German and have spent some time working within Glasdon at the Lille office in France, learning about the company my father [Donald J Sidebottom, MBE, FCIHT] started. Family is at the heart of everything I do and I am passionate about protecting the environment and supporting both families and communities in need. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme where I know we can have a positive impact on any organisations that we support.

Having been born and raised in Blackpool, I’ve been working with Glasdon in my hometown for over 30 years. A fondness for making lists aids me in my role as Senior Secretary within Glasdon Group Limited, where I provide support to the Group Directors with involvement in a variety of activities including staff charity days, charitable giving and personnel. Outside of work, I am involved with my local operatic society and enjoy eating out with friends and family, as well as attending the ‘occasional’ gym class. I’m really looking forward to being part of the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme and am excited to get stuck in and help to make a difference.
