Improving Child Safety with Tippytoes Baby Bank

Based in South Ribble, Tippytoes Baby Bank provides much needed baby essentials to new and expectant mothers.

Tippytoes Baby Bank gifts pre-loved baby essentials to struggling families in Preston and beyond, with the belief that every child deserves the best start in life. Since its launch in 2019, the baby bank has supported over 8500 local families with basic items including clothing, nappies, formula, and even some of the more expensive items like prams and cots.

The staff at Tippytoes work with midwifery teams to reach out to expectant parents in the months before birth, ensuring newborns have the essentials they need from day one. The service does not have a qualifying criteria and provides parents with the help and support to ensure baby needs are fulfilled regardless of a family’s finances or circumstances.

The DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme are delighted to support Tippytoes Baby Bank with a donation of £3,000 to purchase safety gates to help ensure the wellbeing of many families.
