Glasdon Visit North West Air Ambulance Following Grant Donation

Andrew Jackson and Helen Edwards recently visited the North West Air Ambulance Charity's Blackpool Airbase. The visit coincided with a recent substantial grant donation from The DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme to support the charity's lifesaving work across the region.

Andrew and Helen visited the airbase where they were given a tour of the facilities, met members of the crew and learned more about the critical care services the charity provides. The visit also allowed them to see the charity's helicopter up close.

The North West Air Ambulance Charity serves 8 million people across the UK’s North West, delivering lifesaving critical care 365 days a year. Operating three helicopters and four critical care vehicles, the charity relies entirely on donations to fund its vital service, which add up to £18 million annually.

In the last 12 months alone, the charity attended 913 incidents across Lancashire, many of which were dispatched from its Blackpool airbase, located just a few miles from Glasdon. The charity is also the only provider of blood transfusions outside of hospital settings in the North West, helping to offer patients the best possible chance of survival.

The DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme is proud to be able to support the North West Air Ambulance Charity with a donation of £4,000.
