A Return to Sam’s Place

Sam’s Place continues to grow, thanks to a significant grant.

Since its establishment, Sam’s Place has been a dedicated charity that supports disabled people between the ages of 12 and 25 along the Fylde Coast. The charity helps young people with a range of complex needs due to physical and mental disabilities, including life-limiting conditions and autism.

With the aim to empower them at its heart, Sam’s Place provides person-centred activities to build life, social and work skills to help enable young people to transition successfully into adulthood. Sam’s Place also offers respite for parents and carers by helping reduce stress and social isolation and improving the life quality of many families.

Additionally, Sam’s Place encourages healthy habits, incorporating nourishing meals and shared dining experiences to promote social connections and well-being.

After several years of support, the DJ Sidebottom / Glasdon Charitable Programme is proud to deliver another substantial grant of £5,000 to Sam’s Place in support of their ongoing mission to improve the lives and development of young people. Thanks to this donation, Sam’s Place will be able to expand its operations and services by opening a new group for a younger age group.
