Helping Ormside Mill Cross the Stepping Stones to Litter-Free Adventure

The Ormside Mill is an outdoor activity and residential centre set in the beautiful Eden Valley, that aims to provide affordable residential experiences for young people.

The centre offers a wide range of challenging and exciting outdoor activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, gorge walking and geocaching amongst others, all whilst being within reach of both the Lake District and the Pennines.

Providing accommodation for groups of up to 19 people on an exclusive use basis, means that waste can build up fast and therefore the Mill would need enough bins to help keep them litter free for the duration of the group’s stay.

As a solution to this, the Ormside Mill contacted us to see if we could support them with some bins for internal/external recycling and general refuse for their outdoor education centre.

The Glasdon Charitable Giving Committee made a charitable donation of large, wheeled bins and a recycling bin to Ormside Mill.

The Ormside Mill were delighted with our generous donation, sharing with us a picture of the wheeled bins set up side-by-side at their outdoor centre.
