Poulton Pre-School & Toddler Association

Supporting the development and education of young children.

Set up in 1966, the charity aims to enhance the development and education of children under school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children.

The charity does this by offering the appropriate facilities for play, education, family learning and extended hours groups. These groups ensure that opportunities are there for all children regardless of race, culture, religion, means and ability. Additionally, they encourage the study of the needs of children and their families, promoting public interest in and recognition of such needs in the local areas.

Their pre-school currently has 20 children, a third of whom have additional needs. Meanwhile, the toddler group has approximately 50 children who attend with parents, grandparents, carers and childminders.

The grant provided by The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme will provide the financial assistance needed to help cover such things as furniture, storage spaces, toys, books, instruments, outdoor equipment, and technology like laptops and digital cameras. These are items needed to ensure the members of the facility receive all the help they require.

Chair of the Committee, Jane Schofield, states: “I see first hand what a difference these resources would mean to both the pre-school and toddler group, it is a wonderful place for local children to attend."

The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme provides support for charities and community projects with donations, grants and fundraising initiatives. All activities are funded by Glasdon Group Limited, with the full support of our Founder and Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT and the Board of Directors. Applications for grants and support can be made on our grant application page.
