Munich to Rome to Help Local Children’s Hospice

Cycling 825 Miles for Brian House.

Team Yabbitus, a group of friends from Blackpool, recently embarked on their latest endeavour, starting on an ambitious seven-day challenge to raise money for Brian House Children’s Hospice.

As the only Children’s Hospice on the Fylde Coast, Brian House provides respite, palliative, and end-of-life care for children and young people with terminal conditions. They care for youngsters both during the day and overnight, offering support to their families every step of the way.

During their epic seven-day journey, Team Yabbitus covered 825 miles (that’s over 1,300 kilometres) in distance, climbing 46,000 feet, including crossing the Alps. Starting in Munich, the team traversed challenging mountainous terrain between Germany and Austria, long winding roads through Italy, before finally crossing the finish line in the scenic city of Rome.

This is not the team’s first rodeo, though. Team Yabbitus has undertaken several previous challenges across Europe, all to raise much-needed funds for the Hospice and create awareness for the work they do. To date, they have raised over £143,000, including over £38,000 from this latest challenge.
