The Move 22 Challenge

Team Glasdon Secures Gold in Sport Relief Fundraising Event.

Completing a total of 380 laps, 23.56 miles, over eight days, our volunteers donned their trainers and covered the distance, raising a tremendous £400 in aid of Sport Relief.

The Move 22 Challenge ran alongside the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where countries and athletes from all over the commonwealth arrived to celebrate diversity and ensure unity through sport.

The challenge set before us was simple, complete 22 miles during the 12 days of the games. Whatever the weather, rain or shine, we were going to walk those miles – and so we did!

Between the two events held at our Glasdon HQ and Poulton site, and with assistance from The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme, we managed to raise and exceed our target of £250. The money supplied will help tackle inequality, improve mental health, and help young people survive and thrive across the UK and worldwide.

We want to say a big thank you to all those that took part in the event, as well as the generous people that donated to the cause.

The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme provides support for charities and community projects with donations, grants and fundraising initiatives. All activities are funded by Glasdon Group Limited, with the full support of our Founder and Chairman, Donald J Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT and the Board of Directors.
