Making Counselling Accessible to All

Counselling in the Community is a voluntary-led organisation serving those in need.

Based in Blackpool, Counselling in the Community is a volunteer-led counselling service aimed at adults, children and young people in the Blackpool and Fylde areas.

After opening in 2017, Counselling in the Community has worked with over 930 adults and has provided 6000 annual hours of counselling help at reduced rates.

Identifying a need to grow its young people services, Counselling in the Community approached The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme to ask for support to continue its amazing work in the local community.

With 1 in 4 people suffering from mental health problems at some point in their life, The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme were more than happy to help.

To cover the cost of rent for twelve months, The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme is making a grant donation to Counselling in the Community.

Offering a safe space to explore feelings, to be heard and improve self-esteem and self-awareness, Counselling in the Community continue to help a considerable amount of Blackpool and Fylde residents.
